EY DS Challenge 2025

In a team of two, I participated in the EY Data Science Challenge 2025, where we tackled real-world data problems using machine learning. We placed 4th in Singapore and 84th globally.
Are U ReaL?

Are U Real? is a team project that helps users identify fake news websites by scanning URLs and analyzing their content using artificial intelligence. It was awarded 3rd place at the annual Techfest 2025 Hackathon.
Valentine's Proposal

I created this cute website to propose to my partner on Valentine's Day. A blend of tech and love to make the moment unforgettable.
Music Data Analysis

A project for my MH3511 module that explores the correlation between various factors and the popularity of music. What truly makes a song rise to the top?
Environmentals

Environmentals is a monster-collecting game that gamifies recycling by powering up virtual pets through eco-friendly actions. It achieved 3rd place at IEEE NTU's hackathon.
FrAI

FrAI is a personalized AI recipe generator helping students create budget-friendly, easy-to-cook meals. This project was a Top 10 Finalist at NTU SCSE Club's flagship hackathon.
MoveInLo

MoveInLo is a mobile app that simplifies the moving process for students in university halls across Singapore. Built for SC2006, it streamlines moving in and out for students.
Movie Data Analysis

Analyzed the TMDB Movie Dataset as part of SC1005 to identify factors influencing a movie's success based on profit and popularity metrics.

Work Experience

Trustplus AI, AI Engineer Intern
As an AI Engineer Intern at TrustPlus AI, I drove the development of AI-powered software for a fast-growing fintech startup specializing in credit risk management. I collected and curated extensive multi-language financial datasets to train our models. A key achievement was building a high-performance table detection system for complex financial documents using YOLOv8, which reached 99.3% accuracy—approaching research-grade benchmarks. Additionally, I fine-tuned and deployed ensemble BERT models for automated financial statement categorization, achieving 98.83% accuracy. I was responsible for deploying these models on AWS as scalable endpoints, enabling real-time predictions and seamless integration for our clients.
Seagate Technology, Data Science Intern
Assigned to the Multi-Disc Writer (MDW) Product & Process team, my internship focused on enhancing media manufacturing operations through data-driven solutions. I developed and deployed a comprehensive system health dashboard that monitored the status of critical manufacturing equipment by analyzing complex machine log files. This initiative significantly improved operational visibility and helped reduce downtime. I also implemented data analysis workflows to identify performance patterns and optimization opportunities, and deployed Grafana and Prometheus monitoring solutions to track real-time system metrics, enabling proactive maintenance and supporting continuous process improvement.

Defence Science Technology Agency DSTA, Software Engineer Intern
During my internship with the Command, Control, and Communication (C3) Development team, I worked on the critical 'Drone Vs Drone' project. My primary role was to engineer a real-time drone mosaic map generation system using LuciadLightspeed technology, which significantly enhanced battlefield visualization capabilities. To support this system, I developed and optimized algorithms for the extraction and processing of telemetry data from drone missions using the Java Spring framework. My contributions led to improved situational awareness for operators through the implementation of robust, real-time data processing solutions and seamless system integration.
My Passions and Play
When I step away from my professional work, I'm passionate about activities that challenge my mind in different ways. I'm an avid player of strategy games like Teamfight Tactics and chess, which constantly sharpen my critical thinking and decision-making under pressure. On the creative side, playing the bass nurtures my discipline and allows for artistic expression. Out on the football pitch, I learn the value of teamwork, communication, and resilience. These hobbies are more than just pastimes; they keep me balanced, creative, and focused. The skills I develop—from strategic foresight to collaborative problem-solving—are integral to how I approach challenges in both my personal and professional life.
